We got to go strawberry picking last week with our dear friends the Cooley, Bradshaw and Boisvert girls. It turned out to be a hot and humid day, and my pregnant belly was not really having it. =) I forgot how tiring it was to bend over, kneel, stand up... move over a row, bend over, kneel, stand up.... phew! Not to mention the fact that Julia ate 3 or 4 berries for every 1 that I picked. So, we didn't get as many strawberries as originally planned. That's okay though - it was something fun to do and somewhat of a tradition for us, so it was well worth it!
(See that little blonde head in the left corner? That's pretty much all I saw of JuJu the whole time we were at the farm...)
The end result. This child doesn't know how to eat anything neatly: whether it's a PB&J, a chocolate chip, or strawberries - this is always what she looks like at the end of things!

By contrast, Katie asks for a wipe each time her finger gets a speck of dirt or strawberry juice on it. =)

Blueberry season is coming up. Thankfully we have a few bushes here at our farm that provide us with all our berry needs, so we won't need to be traveling to Butlers at least for a little while.
