Budderflies...

Katie calls them "budderflies", and Julia calls them "buddahfwhy's", but regardless, we took a trip to Brookside Gardens a few weeks back to check out their annual butterfly display.  We went with some dear friends from our play group, and the girls really enjoyed it so much!  Actually, the main event - the butterfly tent - had them both terrified...  but the rest of the gardens were a huge hit.  =)

The butterflies were all kept in this greenhouse building, and there were literally hundreds of them!  Big ones and small ones flying all around you, and landing on you when you least expect it.  =)  Can you see now why the girls weren't too keen on this part??  

They were certainly beautiful, though!

I love Julia's face in the last one.  This girl LOVES to play in the dirt!  She had that smile pretty much the whole day, while Katie kept periodically wiping her hands and looking dismayed at being sweaty.  =)
